Brad Walk died in Sky Diving accident on Saturday. The world is less a very genuine, easy-going, fun loving person. They say you can judge the character of a person by the company they keep. Brad had more friends than just about any one I can recall. Good friends and not criminals and rapists... well maybe a few ;-)

Thoughts go out to his family and friends. To all that were there when I called last night, thank you. I wish I could have been there with you, but hearing your voices was comforting. Love ya!

I woke up around 6:30 this morning for no reason other than I couldn't sleep. Slightly overcast to the North West but the water on the gulf looked like glass, it was so amazingly flat. Admittedly it normally is peaceful and tranquil at that hour, but today it seemed as though the entire sky was reflected in the mirror of the water.

Ok, here's the deal. Sort of a big day. I've been free-lancing (starving) for over a year now. Well I went on an interview (security + stability) a few weeks ago. Well they called me yesterday to ask that I come in for a second meeting and to please put some careful consideration to how much I would like to earn. So, since I am successfully self employed and run my own company of one, I must concede that it might require a fair amount of compensation given the potential change of lifestyle (am vs. pm). Truthfully, salaries in a third world country leave much to be desired. I guess I really have to decide if I want to work in a corporate environment again or not. Also can I afford not to?

So anyone feel like adding their 2 cents, be it words of encouragement or just a heartfelt "you idiot!!!" marcus@jumbie.org

The weekend was damn fine! I played around on Friday and went to Toco, an area in NW Trinidad popular to surfers. Check it:

on the drive to Toco... one of several bays in the Toco area...

Friday night I went and saw Orange Sky perform a final concert before heading to the US in hopes of making it big. It was a "cooler fete." A lovely concept done at a few parties here where people pay $X for access, security, DJ's or Bands, facilities, etc... and you bring your own cooler with what you're drinking. It's great, no waiting in lines for service. I think I got a contact high from all the weed ;-)

Saturday I was in pain. Too much mixing the night before I do believe. Anyhow, Sunday was nice and relaxing as we went down the islands.

"life in the fu**ing tropics, just another shitty day in paradise!"

I updated the links section with some links to friends pages.

The Weekend was cool. Worked hard, played hard. the usual. Big news, is my cousin Sacha got engaged on Sunday. So that was cause for celebration.

Trying to wrap up projects, but will try to update better than I have the last couple days. ::
